UC Clavero
Half Canarian – half Catalan, it is suspected that he was “manufactured” on the mysterious and legendary island of San Borondón, the 9th island of the Canary archipelago, a wild place full of strange plants and animals, which appears and disappears among the fog and clouds for several centuries. He ended up going to be born in Barcelona and was raised in Lanzarote lands, where he spent hours in the sea to feel closer to the mythological and magical creatures originating from San Borondón, who live under those shared waters. A sculptor by nature, he uses wood as his material of choice, preferring its conscious, ecological and sustainable use, followed by clay and fabric. He draws surreal and fictional parallel universes, between the beautiful and the absurd, and in here you can find some pieces of his most recent projects.
