The second Trás-os-Montes Biennial of Contemporary Art, with the theme “Water Line” began on May 18th and will continue until the end of November and it is with great pleasure that this gallery shares the participation of our artist Célia Machado in this biennial, with the artistic direction by Inês Falcão and curated by Luís Filipe Rodrigues.

At this event, in the heart of northern Portugal, spread across several locations (Macedo de Cavaleiros, Vinhais, Alfândega da Fé e Freixo de Espada à Cinta), among the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Célia Machado’s work finds its perfect stage. Her creations, deeply rooted in northern traditions, dialogue harmoniously with the natural beauty that surrounds them. Each work is a tribute to the great women of the north, reflecting the authenticity and strength of their roots.
